Circus Show for Schools
Our Circus town show is a little different.
The pupils still learn all the great skills of juggling, Diabolo, ribbons, poi and much more but they also PERFORM the Splats Circus Town Show at the end of the day. This is taught a part of their class
During the circus lesson each group learn their part of the story. It is very active, with some script which tends to be all the pupils speaking together.
About the show
The story is about a visit to circus town on the day of the King and Queens birthday. They both have two of course!
we meet the people of circus town. here the pupils all say hello by passing juggling scarves to each other and performing tricks.
guardWe meet the circus guards who balance peacock feathers in the most spectacular way.
In the palace we meet the plate spinning waiters and ribbon twirling, cake mixing cooks.
Enter the royal party and let the entertainment begin. A finale show of Diabolo and poi and juggling and any fancy tricks your pupils invent.
This show is designed for four classes of a maximimum 35 in a class ( 140 in total) but we can cater for more but that is the recommended amount
How a Circus Show for Schools day works
SPLATS CIRCUS TOWN
The Circus Show for Schools begins with an assembly to introduce the pupils and teachers to the play and the characters they will be playing.
One class works with the splats teacher at a time to learn their scene. The Circus Show for Schools play is divided into 4 scenes so 4 classes can take part or 2 classes can learn 2 scenes each.
Props and sets
The other groups make props and set for the show and then come and work on their scene. We supply a full teaching pack to help guide this.
At the end of the day all the classes come together to perform the show. The splats teacher acts as narrator which helps to guide the play along.
The pupils can act as their own audience as three of the scenes will be new to them but also please invite parents and other classes to watch as it is a great community event.
