Splats Circus skills day
Splats have been running circus days in schools since 1992. We are very proud to have become such an important part of so many schools curriculum.
A Splats Circus day starts with a fun assembly for the whole school for the Splats teacher to show off their skills and for the pupils to join in. This is then followed by up to 7 classes of circus skills.
The day can finish with a circus show by the pupils and a circus skills after school workshop for parents and family.
All our circus days come with Circus teaching materials including History of circus skills, History of circus toys, Circus teaching book, Circus colour in book, Circus town show and our circus town script for the pupils to perform.

The Circus skills we teach
about Splats Circus skills
We have taught in 1000s of schools, colleges, nurseries, playschemes, youth centres across the UK and are always here to help and advice on any circus skills matter. We can also supply circus equipment which has been selected for ease of learning and teaching for pupils.
We also have a show script we have written which any teacher with no previous experience can perform with their pupils.

Just a little evaluation of the day at The Long Eaton School, Dec 13th
The students rated the day as very good and stated they had:
made new friends
learned new skills
improved on some skills they already had
tried new things
liked being part of something special
enjoyed sharing equipment
We felt as a staff team that the students responded in a most positive, enthusiastic and energetic manner. For the majority of the time all students were engaged and on task. This was particularly successful due to the SPLAT leader. Lisa was fantastic with the students delivering instruction in a calm, friendly, professional and easily digestible way. The range of activities catered for all abilities and was delivered in a fun interactive way. Students were allowed to develop individually and as part of a group. They were encouraged to support each other and generally did. There was sufficient time allowed for students to practice at their own pace and if they wanted to they were given the opportunity to share what they had achieved with others.
We feel all students were able to develop and use their various means of communication skills throughout the day. They all had to work and partake in the sharing of equipment and to delegate tasks. Understanding others needs, with regards to how they managed a task, was also evident with students offering each other help and encouragement.
