Play theatre scripts for schools to perform
The Splats Method
Children learn best though play.
Using story telling methods you can guide your pupils though a play with minimum rehearsal and produce amazing results. The secret is in the planning and preparation which we have done for you with detailed choreography and scripting
Splats plays
• involve simple scripts that can be expanded on or simplified.
• always involve large groups often playing the same character. This is a very effective way of involving lots of pupils and on stage can look stunning
• are very physical based
• They have light comic touch which children and the audience love
• They are planned so you can teach and perform in just one day although this can easily be extended.
• are narrated so opportunity for the children to present alongside or given time in place of the teacher
How our Create a theatre show scripts work
The scripts we have written are designed to be taught/led by a teacher who acts as the narrator and up to 35 children per scene. A student can also act as the narrator. These are not traditional play scripts with lots of dialogue. They are designed to be easy to learn and perform as they are very physicaland the narration can act as a cue.
There are 4 scenes in each play and it can therefore be performed by 4 different groups involving up to 140 pupils, or just one group.
Perform in a day
They can be taught to a class and performed in just one day, in fact with preparation by the teacher you can teach a class their scene in one hour. This can be a great challenge for a class/s and really gives the students the opportunity to get up and perform in a fun and free environment. You can also develop the scene over a few days or even a bit each week as part of a club to culminate in a performance
