Splats drama workshops are designed to amaze and educate pupils in the art of theatre. Choose from our classic tales or our history days for a truly memorable day.

The pupils learn one of our plays and then perform it for parents at the end of the day.

They are suitable for all ages from Nursery to Secondary.

All pupils up on stage performing with confidence and freedom.

Assembly
Assembly

The day begins with an assembly for the pupils and staff to meet the splats director and to introduce the characters they will be playing. They will also talk though the set and prop making tasks they need to achieve in the classroom.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals

Each group learn their scene with our director. They are very well planned so the pupils learn quickly. They involve a lot of movement and music to help the story to stick and our director acts as narrator to help guide the story along.

Props and set
Props and set

We provide a teaching pack full of ideas for the set, props and masks. Pupils work on these during the time they are not with our director. These are not compulsory but do add a great element to the day.

Show time
Show time

At the end of the day the pupils perform the play to themselves and to invited guests. A great community event.

drama workshopsOur days are all written by Stephen Richards and Mike Redwood, both trained theatre directors and actors and Steve is also a trained P.E. teacher. This background enables us to design days that will amaze both staff and pupils in what they can achieve. We put on a fully formed, choreographed, educational and entertaining show in just one day. This is not just with one group but with up to four. They really are remarkable days that will live in the memory of the school and all its pupils for ever. It is this  memory of confidence, opportunity and most of all fun that will have a positive effect on your pupils learning skills for the rest of their schooling and beyond.

    Children had a brilliant day. Staff and children who came to watch it were very impressed and couldn’t believe we got through it in a day. Pass on my thanks to all concerned.
