The E-Safety Game Show

A larger-than-life, funny and participatory drama show — created and performed by your pupils in a single school day.

Comedy, costumes, puppets, music, movement and some gloriously daft contestants help important online-safety messages stick.

Meet the Puppet family

The Puppet family are the unsuspecting contestants in a game show where playing well means you might win… absolutely nothing!

Pupils perform the scenes and help the family discover how to look after their personal information, recognise strangers online and make safer choices.

No two school performances are quite the same.

Five unforgettable games

Inside the E-Safety Game Show

From the Puppet family to dolphins, chickens, disco queens and dancing brains: each scene makes a serious message memorable.

Game 01

Mind Your Own Business

“Because remember, if you don’t, somebody else will.”

The Puppet family discover what can happen when personal information, passwords or private pictures are shared too freely. The audience helps them decide what should remain private.

Game 02

It’s Impossible to Know

“People you don’t know are strangers. They are not always who they say.”

A dolphin hopes to find other dolphins online — but could be talking to absolutely anyone, even a shark. Then the contestants try to work out who is really behind an online message: a child, an adult, a chicken, Elvis or disco queens?

Game 03

What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

“Making things up, research and trust.”

The Jokers, Perfect Masks and Trusting Masks explore teasing, how we present ourselves online, and why we should check information rather than believe everything we see.

Game 04

Daddy Cool

“Stay cool — breathe… and again… and again.”

Arguments escalate remarkably quickly. The resident Relaxologists bring things back under control with three memorable steps: Wait, Think, Review.

Game 05

Brain Information Film

“We are all different people who enjoy different things, and we must look after each other!”

Meet the dancing disco brains and discover why devices, notifications and likes can be so hard to put down — and why taking breaks and doing things away from screens matters.

How the day works

Our SPLATS teacher leads the day as game-show host, bringing props, costume pieces and sound effects. Pupils learn scenes in groups and come together to perform the complete show.

01 · WORKSHOPS

Learn a scene

Up to four groups rehearse an episode through physical theatre, movement, comedy and scripted acting.

02 · EVERYONE JOINS IN

Play the game

Children act as performers and as the audience, answering questions, reacting and giving advice.

03 · GRAND FINALE

Perform together

The groups assemble the show for one another and an invited audience, all in one school day.
